Nick has a Master’s degree in Engineering and in his subsequent career has worked on the analysis of large structures and material handling systems. For the last 11 years he has focused on the design and delivery of equipment and tools used in the offshore industry. Nick was a Senior Design Engineer prior to taking his current management role. Like all RED people he is a keen sportsman - majoring in cycling and triathlon. With a background in agricultural engineering and over 15 years’ experience of working across a range of challenging industries, Toby is a seasoned business development professional committed to developing successful long term business relationships built on trust. He has taken a leading role in the development and marketing of the Red Engineering brand. Mike is the technical authority for the business with an oversight role covering the full range of engineering and technology development. In a long career he has taken leadership roles in multi-million pound design and build projects, has managed consultancy organisations and has led multi-discipline engineering teams. Haydn initially trained as a Naval Architect but now works as a Lead Mechanical Design Engineer. As well as a wide range of engineering and analytical experience he has had a number of client-facing delivery roles involving the design and build of special-purpose tools and equipment. He likes fast BMW’s but is now considering more grown-up choices. Following a career in the Defence Industry, Jack joined RED in 2013 and is a key member of the team with responsibility for the day to day operation of the Test Facility. Jack is a keen golfer with an average handicap in his day of 5-7. In an 18 year career in engineering Ian has worked on aeronautical systems, advanced compressors, earth-moving vehicles, pipelay systems and special-purpose tools for the offshore construction industry. He is a Senior Engineer in the RED team. Richard is one of the original founders of Red Marine and takes responsibility for quality of the work that we produce. He has an excellent track record (28 years) of innovative problem solving across a wide range of complex engineering projects. Kevin is a Project Manager responsible for the delivery of a wide range of design and build projects. Earlier he has been a Lead and Senior Engineer working from concept through to detail design of complex offshore systems including pipelay, load testing and piggy-backing. Lindsay has worked at RED since 2008 after spending 13 years in the Construction industry. Lindsay graduated in 2005 and is responsible for financial control of the business, and plays a key role as a member of the senior management team. Lindsay has two children and spends most of her spare time travelling around the UK with the family who compete in Motocross events. Kirstie has been at RED for nearly 6 years after working in both Local Government and Hospitality. She is responsible for the day to day administration of the office, she also manages the purchase ledger and payroll. Tim’s engineering career has taken him from the automotive industry, through subsea and offshore equipment to his current role in the design of bespoke tools and test-rigs Joe started his career as a technician working at Newcastle University on drivetrain test rigs for clients such as Ford, NASA, and the MOD. He has a wide range of experience in the offshore sector working on subsea remote tooling, pipe lay equipment and handling systems. Steve was an engineering officer in the merchant navy prior to gaining a first class degree in mechanical engineering. He now takes management responsibility of the company’s Testing Services division and workshop facility. This involves the design and build of bespoke test-rigs and the execution of arduous testing regimes on a wide variety of materials and equipment. Michael has had significant engineering roles in the aerospace, defence and marine industries. As a Senior Engineer in the RED team he is responsible from concept design right through detail engineering, build, test and commission of bespoke equipment. Mark is proud to have made a significant contribution to equipment design and delivery as a Senior Engineer in the defence equipment, offshore oil and gas, renewables and subsea sectors. A recent first-time father, he enjoys cycling and mountain biking in the little spare time still at his disposal. Neil has been here for 7 years. He has further developed his energy industry understanding and has played a fundamental role in setting up the company drafting standard procedures. Neil is a keen cyclist & regularly cycles the 50 mile round trip to work as training for racing events. Matthew is a qualified Marine Engineer, and over the past 3 years has become RED Engineering’s lead analyst. Although born in Yorkshire, he is secretly an American at heart. With a long history in the petrochemical, oil and gas, LNG and offshore industries Martin is now helping with business development and the conversion of Red Marine to Red Engineering. After 3 years at Red Engineering Dorian has accumulated a wide range of engineering knowledge. Predominately based in the Test Facility Dorian has been involved in a wide variety of testing, including pressure testing, life fatigue testing and friction testing, in addition to implementing control systems by creating bespoke LabVIEW programs.Nick Adams
